Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Curio (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. The Service is intended to be used by a parent or legal guardian alongside their child; minors must not create accounts of their own.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account, including any content uploaded by users you have invited via account sharing.
  • You may invite up to three secondary email addresses to view (or edit) your account. Revoking access takes effect immediately.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content you do not have the right to share, or that infringes any third-party right.
  • Upload sexually explicit, violent, harassing, or hateful content, or any content that depicts the abuse or exploitation of a child.
  • Use the Service to send spam (including via the share-invite flow) or to otherwise abuse our messaging features.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product or to train a machine learning model.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Content you upload

You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you. We do not use your content for advertising, do not sell it, and do not use it to train AI models.

You may delete your content at any time. Deletion propagates within [DELETION_WINDOW_DAYS] days; backups age out within [BACKUP_RETENTION_DAYS] days.

5. Subscription and payment

6. Service availability

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [COMPANY]'s total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions the limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Indemnification
